Here are some useful tips to guide you through the interview process:
Preparation
Review the company’s website for information about the company and its products.
Know the location of the interview; plan the trip in advance and leave yourself time to spare.
Wear appropriate clothing. Find out if it is formal/informal. If formal dress, keep to un-confrontational colours and styles.
Keep copy of your resume and all your testimonials.
During the Interview
Greet the Interviewer(s) with a firm handshake and smile.
Keep eye contact with the interviewer, it shows that you are interested.
During the interview talk freely and honestly about yourself, and try to enjoy it
Sit up straight in your chair.
Speak clearly and don't fidget
Don't interrupt the interviewer whilst they are talking to you.
When the interviewer is talking to you, nod and smile, it shows interest and enthusiasm.
Try to focus on why you want this role and why you want to work for them.
After the Interview
Shake hands with the Interviewer and smile.
Thank the Interviewer for interviewing you
Send a thank you note to the interviewer(s) as soon as possible and look for a feedback.
