Here are some useful tips to guide you through the interview process:
Preparation
  • Review the company’s website for information about the company and its products.
  • Know the location of the interview; plan the trip in advance and leave yourself time to spare.
  • Wear appropriate clothing. Find out if it is formal/informal. If formal dress, keep to un-confrontational colours and styles.
  • Keep copy of your resume and all your testimonials.
During the Interview
  • Greet the Interviewer(s) with a firm handshake and smile.
  • Keep eye contact with the interviewer, it shows that you are interested.
  • During the interview talk freely and honestly about yourself, and try to enjoy it
  • Sit up straight in your chair.
  • Speak clearly and don't fidget
  • Don't interrupt the interviewer whilst they are talking to you.
  • When the interviewer is talking to you, nod and smile, it shows interest and enthusiasm.
  • Try to focus on why you want this role and why you want to work for them.
After the Interview
  • Shake hands with the Interviewer and smile.
  • Thank the Interviewer for interviewing you
  • Send a thank you note to the interviewer(s) as soon as possible and look for a feedback.
